Well.. what MIRANDA sees

I didn't even see this one. Miranda took it. But it counts as a pretty darn good photo. This happens to be my new underbust corset. Not what I expected at all. The fabric itself is LIKE satin (so is metallic looking) and has no shape-maintaining material within it. It isn't pinstriped at all, it's just small stripes. It sits wonky on a slight tilt to the right. The boning in it is quite a weak material, I think it may be just a thick plastic sort of thing. The lacing is RIBBON of all things, not a stronger string or anything. It's not reinforced around the bust or the hips. It hardly cinches at all, so it's making my waist look WIDER than it is. AND there is no modesty flap. Other than that, I quite like it.

It's not really as good as it looks (me thinks I'll invest in a quality $170 one), but I don't mind it. Once I get a proper skirt and blouse I can make it a little more steampunk looking. I will - of course - also be getting it tailored so it actually cinches my waist. If anything, it makes me look fatter than usual (you know, instead of the skinnier that people so often expect of slimming clothing)

Photos from the same day as Ryan

Yeah so I took a bunch of photos this one day, and these are just a few of the good ones.

Alex and Dara chatting

Dylanthropod. Smooth.

SO lucky to have this one. He put his hand up about half a second after I took it. I LOVE this one.

Natural shots are the best. It's a known fact.

Ryan

This is Ryan. He is my facebook husband. We are just friends. I win, because not only did I tell him how to model this shot, but I manually adjusted the settings to achieve this. No editing XD

That Day Was to DYE For

Heh. See my clever pun?
So on Thursday we dyed the hair of my good friends Chris and Zak. Chris originally wanted to get his dyed green, but nowhere in my dear little town actually stocks green hair dye. So instead, he opted for red. Zak was getting his done purple. We started with Chris. Kelsey got the cool gloves on and started covering his head with this red dye.

She got a lot of it on his face and neck too. But the colour was this fantasmical reddish orange.

Then of course we progressed to doing Zak's hair.

You can tell he's thrilled.

We let it settle, then they washed it out (a LOT of it came out) and the result was Chris looking like this...

I didn't take a photo of Zak's cause you pretty much couldn't tell he dyed it at all.

BUT! This wasn't enough for either of them! Chris had slightly red hair, but wanted it RED and Zak's was just a bit of a disappointment. So we went back again on Friday.

Chris looked excited about it. Enthusiastically anticipating having his hair red.

It was substantially different from the first dye, because not only was it going to be red, but it was going to be permanent too.

It was seriously red.

Began on Zak's while Chris waited for the dye to do it's job. Zak's was just a 28 washes thing.

That's sort of the equivalent of his before shot. ^^^^

That's the dye. Holding his hair in place. And again below.

And then we waited.

And waited.

And waited.

And after much waiting, Chris went and washed his hair.

He dried his hair.

He walked into the sunshine, looking like this.

That is my hand, ruffling his 10 carat diamond hair. (I get to ruffle it whenever I like ^^)

And here are two photos of Zak's new beautiful plum coloured locks. It really brings out his eyeliner, even though you can't see it.

The red in Chris' hair has since slightly faded to a deeper reddishness, and Zak's is just deep purple.
Truth be told, I think both of them look [more] fantastic in contrast with their original hair.

And that was my adventure of last week.

But it makes for an alright photo

It looks like I'm just sitting on a climbing frame and sticking my leg out, while taking a photo of my friendsies. But that's not actually the case. I was on a swing, and let me tell you, it's actually quite dangerous and difficult to try to manually focus a camera while swinging, and then taking a photo. At the right point of the swing, as well as ensuring the leg and friends were in the photo, no less.
Well. It makes for an alright photo I think.

Not what I see, but what you see

Oh look! A self-portrait! This is actually a terrible photo, but I wanted to share it cause I love the dress. I won it in a competition run by the awesome TURNmagazine. Oh how I love life.
I know I look ridiculous, but whatever.

I guess they're not that great (composition and lighting wise at least), but I still like them.
